Eligibility and Acceptance

The Website provides a tool to generate visual representations of the night sky.
Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Website will be available at all times. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership of Website
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Website (including the software, algorithms, design, and "look and feel") are and will remain the exclusive property of the operator of Printastar Studio.
Free export — personal use license
Images generated and exported free of charge are licensed for strictly non-commercial, personal use only. You may print or display them for personal enjoyment but may not sell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise distribute them as part of a commercial product, stock photo library, or any paid service.
Paid export — extended use license
Upon completion of a paid export purchase, Printastar Studio grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the specific Generated Image for both personal and commercial purposes, including print-on-demand products, gifts, and digital distribution. This license does not extend to resale of the image as a standalone digital file or as part of a template or clip-art collection.
Prohibited Use of Technology
You may not use any automated systems, including "bots," "spiders," or "scrapers," to access the Website for the purpose of extracting data, scraping the algorithm, or mass-generating images. This is to protect our server resources and the integrity of the Service.
User Conduct & Restrictions
You agree not to:
- ◆Use the Website for any unlawful purpose.
- ◆Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of the image generation engine.
- ◆Use the Website in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden our servers or networks.
- ◆Use the Website to create content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringing on the rights of others.
Advertising and Third-Party Links
The Website is supported by advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). By using the Website, you acknowledge that you will be exposed to third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party advertising networks or websites linked from our Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Printastar Studio expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the generated images will be accurate, complete, or error-free, nor do we warrant that the service will be uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL STELLAR DATE STUDIO BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR USE/INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE IMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Printastar Studio from any claims, losses, or damages (including attorney's fees) resulting from your use of the Website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any of these terms regarding the non-commercial use of generated images.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of these Terms will be applied to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be settled by the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Switzerland.
Data Sources & Attribution
Star positions, magnitudes, spectral types, and identifiers used by the Service are derived from the HYG Database (v4.2) compiled by David Nash / astronexus, which itself merges the Hipparcos Catalog, the Yale Bright Star Catalog, and the Gliese Catalog of Nearby Stars. The HYG Database is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Derived dataset
The processed star dataset served by this Website (e.g. the JSON catalog used for rendering) is a derivative of the HYG Database and is likewise made available under CC BY-SA 4.0. Generated Images (the rendered visual outputs) are creative works governed by the export licenses described in Section 04 and are not themselves distributed under CC BY-SA.
No endorsement
The authors and maintainers of the source catalogs do not endorse Printastar or its operator. References to those catalogs are for attribution purposes only.
